Summary: We had a great stay for a long weekend with extended family. The house was equipped with everything we needed both inside and out. We used the kayaks, rowboat, pool, large yard, outside tables and lounge chairs. It was too hot to use the screened in porch much, but it was a lovely space with lots of seating, new looking furniture, and barware. For a house that sleeps 12, the kitchen is a bit small and we had a little trouble finding adequate counter space for cooking for such a large group and with multiple cooks. Not really a complaint, just something good for future guests to know. The family room was large with a good amount of seating as was the dining room table (seating for 8). There is a nice bedroom on the first floor with an attached bathroom and another one just like it with it's own bathroom above it. Also upstairs is a connected queen bedroom, bunk bed room, and full bath. That area was perfect for my sister's family with two kids. There is a third bedroom upstairs that also has its own bathroom. The fourth bedroom upstairs doesn't have an attached bathroom but there is a separate one just across the hall. A few of the shower heads were loose and spraying water in strange places but after a little tightening, we were able to get most of them to behave. There is plenty of parking in the gravel lot for at least 6 or 7 cars if folks are arriving separately. We walked to town each morning. It's a one mile walk, most of which is sidewalk in town but the first 1/3 mile is along a pretty main road but there's a pretty wide shoulder. I had lots of questions before our arrival and Michael was always quick to respond and more than informative. This was a great rental and I would definitely stay here again.
