THE SPACE:
This property is serenely situated on 20 acres in the mountains of the Bridger Canyon. Built in 1985, this authentic post and beam chalet is full of character. Guests will find the home cozy and inviting, whether it be for small intimate stays or groups of up to 12. The Red Roof Chalet is designed with comfort in mind, from ample seating areas with cozy couches and chairs, to the four relaxing bedrooms. Outdoor seating is also plenteous with patio sets on both front and back decks. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary kitchen tools. Enjoy the spacious master suite with newly remodeled bathroom complete with a clawfoot tub. The ground floor houses the three remaining bedrooms, including the bunk room with two twin over twin bunks.
The home is ready to entertain, with two Roku TV's, each subscribed to Disney+, Peacock, ESPN+ and Hulu. The wifi capabilities allow the two TV's to stream simultaneously, although if more devices are added it may slow down. You will also find a variety of popular board and card games, as well as a small selection of books.
Enjoy easy access to skiing, with Bridger Bowl only 3 miles (9 minutes) away! Big Sky Ski Resort is an easy day trip at just under an hour and a half (63 miles) away. Bozeman is 17 miles away, a 25 minute drive through the breathtaking Bridger Canyon. Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is a 35 mile drive. The home is located 1.4 miles off the main road, and has a 1/4 mile long private driveway. Both of these are well-maintained gravel roads. Please note that in the winter months, a four wheel drive vehicle is necessary.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire home and a two car detached garage, and are welcome to explore the property. Montana is full of a vast array of diverse wildlife, including deer, elk, moose, and bear. Please keep this in mind while exploring. The property is not fenced, so be mindful of not trespassing onto neighbor's property.
Please note that the shop located below the house is rented out.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
Please note that as pictured, we have a wooden spiral staircase. We recommend walking on the handrail side of the steps, as the side closest to the post is very narrow.
The master bedroom is the only space with air conditioning. Each bedroom is equipped with it's own fan, and if it gets warm, we recommend opening the windows to let in the cool night air.
True to its post and beam construction, fluctuations in temperature can cause the home to creak. Don't be alarmed, this is normal!
