Cyclists of all ages and abilities can enjoy the nearly 2-mile stretch of the newly paved bike lane which connects VOH to the shops and community of Corolla Light. And nature lovers will love the serenity of the Currituck Banks National Estuarine Reserve, adjacent to the community, for walking and enjoying the sights and sounds of the maritime forest.
Historic Corolla Village also hosts the Wild Horse Museum, offering memorabilia and souvenirs. All proceeds from the sale of merchandise go directly to protect, preserve, and care for the wild horses.
Just a few minutes north is the entrance to the 4x4 Beach, where you can take a scenic drive on the sand and possibly catch a glimpse of the wild horses grazing on the beach.
