Just steps across the street and down a short path will bring you to a 7 mile stretch of clean, uncrowded, uninterrupted and groomed white sand beach. Come sink your toes into the warm sand of Pine Point Beach and run head on into the cool surf. From the quiet relaxation of Pine Point to the tourist-friendly town of Old Orchard Beach with its famous pier and Palace Playland (2 miles away) to Portland -- Maine's largest city less than 15 miles away, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable vacation at our cozy cottage. Our cottage is one of six cottages located in our private condo association, featuring a small living room with a full couch, side chair, coffee table, two folding chairs, and a bench which converts into a table for four (tilt-top table). A flat screen tv mounted above the gas fireplace is complete with Sling TV, online streaming services, and free high speed internet. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dinnerware, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds. Linens and towels are provided. New windows in 2015, new shower stall and gas fireplace in 2016, new flooring in 2018. Outside on our semi-private lawn, we have a gas grill and patio furniture with seating for four. Enjoy a delicious BBQ followed by an evening stroll along the beach while watching the Old Orchard Beach fireworks every Thursday night. We provide a beach cart and gear (chairs, umbrella, pails and shovels, boogie boards) for your convenience and enjoyment. Our location is within easy walking distance to many local eating establishments including Bayley's Seafood, The Clambake, Garage BBQ, The Bait Shed, Salty Bay, and Rising Tide. It's also convenient to Scarborough Marsh where guided nature walks, canoe tours, and walking / biking trails are offered. Take the local trolley to OOB or you can take the Amtrak Downeaster to Boston or north to Brunswick including multiple stops in between (Freeport and L.L. Bean). Local shopping malls are also nearby. Less than 15 miles north is Portland - named the 2018 Restaurant City of the Year by Bon Appetit - with hundreds of restaurants, an ever-growing number of microbrew pubs and tasting rooms, wine bars, a full array of shops, art galleries and more.
